This 4 volume set contains biographical sketches on more than 2,800 Civil War Soldiers, going beyond the information found in the service records.

Abraham, John E. - Louisville, Ky.; born at Pleasureville, Henry County, Kentucky, August 31, 1844. Enlisted Sept. 10, 1862; as Orderly Sergeant in Co. C, 9th Ky. Adams, George W. - Lexington, Ky.; pr. Co. I, 9th Ky. Cav.; Member Jno. C. Breckinridge Camp No. 100.

Adams, J. J. - McKenzie, Tenn.; born in 1843; Enlisted May 20th, 1861; Corp. Co. C. 5th Tenn. Infantry; wounded 4 times; captured once; parolled March 5th, 1865; Member Stonewall Jackson Camp No. 42.
