Densmore, Samuel M. (04 MAR 1838 - 1920)
Samuel enlisted as a private in theGA 52nd Infantry Regiment, Company I on March 4,1862. Pension records show he "Contracted typhoid fever and was sent to Bean Station, Tenn. hospital November 3, 1862. Fever settled in left leg." Captured at Vicksburg, Miss. July 4, 1863. Paroled there in 1863. Furloughed from hospital in 1864. Unable to return to service on account of disabled left leg. Sam lived until 1920, still suffering from a drainage from one leg caused by typhus.
