1st Battalion, Kentucky Mounted Rifles

Historical Notes:
The 1st Battalion Mounted Rifles was organized in Eastern Kentucky during the winter of 1861-1862 and served in the Army of Eastern Kentucky and the Department of East Tennessee. The unit skirmished in Kentucky and Tennessee, then disbanded in August, 1863. Some of its members joined other Kentucky commands. Officers:
